Pigeon Sampling Guides

  • Sampling guide

These guides have been put together in association with the Poultry Health Services veterinary team. The aim is to ensure that the samples are collected correctly so that they are compliant with the National Control Plan for the control of Salmonella in poultry and with the postal legislation regarding biological samples.

For diagnostic samples, the accuracy of the sampling is very important to ensure that the relevant diseases are found in the samples taken.

If you are unsure about how to collect your samples, which organ to sample or how to send your samples, please contact a member of the team on 01347 820378 or email us: yorklab@newbridgescientific.com
